About Algebra II with Trig

Algebra II with Trig is the same thing as Pre-Calculus. This course is most often taken after Geometry as preparation for Calculus 1. This course is a college level Algebra II With Trigonometry course. It is the Trigonometry that makes this class Pre-Calculus. There is nothing added or planned within this course to make it particularly difficult. The "college level" aspect of this--and all our courses---is centered around the idea of high standards and expectations from the students. We do not water down material--as too many homeschool curriculums do---and we do not hand hold the student through each and every problem. On the dvds, we work examples, identify problem areas for students to pay attention to, and we highlight key homework problems. We expect students to be able to use this information, combined with the textbook and the Free Student Support (homework help) to figure out the problems which are not explicitly walked through on the DVD. The textbook does an excellent job of providing not just examples, but also "Matched Problem" which is essentially a sample problem presented just after an example so that students are allowed to practice example concepts before moving into homework. In between courses? Some notes for you:
- Algebra 2 With Trig is THE SAME course as Pre-Calculus.
- While containing the title "Algebra 2" this course should be treated as its own course and NOT combined with Algebra 1.
Algebra 2 done but no Trig. What do we do?
If your student has already taken Algebra 2, but has not had Trig--this course bundle is still the one for you. We have added a guide to our syllabus that walks you through how to take this course as just a trigonometry course. Download the Teachers Guide that contains these instructions below.

We are so thankful for your Algebra II with Trig Course Bundle. I recommend it whenever I can.
Our son will be a senior in the fall. We found you when he was struggling with Algebra II as a freshman. (He had taken Algebra I in 7th grade and Geometry in 8th grade from a prominent home school curriculum provider.) It was an answer to prayer to help him get past the wall and reach his full God given potential. When he took the PSAT as a Sophomore he was in the top 2% of college bound sophomores in math.
With God and your help he is in the running to be a Semi-finalist and/or Finalist 2011 National Merit Scholar. His placement index and SAT score look like he will meet that goal.
December of his junior year he scored 790/800 on the SAT. Words cannot thank God and you for what he has been able to accomplish.
