The DVD contains what is essentially a college level course for homeschoolers. The DVD set does require the use of the textbook - which can be obtained either from us or used from various sources such as Amaon or Ebay. 

 Calculus is the next step after Algebra 2 with Trig, and taking Cal 1 before college can give your students a very advantageous head start at college. If your student has taken Algebra 2 With Trig (a college level course that truly taught the material and did not water down the education) then your students are ready for Calculus.
